Can this food warming mat cook food or heat it to boiling point?
The iTRUSOU warming plate is primarily designed for keeping food warm. Due to power limitations, it cannot heat food to boiling. If you need to bring food to a boil, we recommend using high-power appliances like induction cookers or microwaves.
Are there any requirements for the tabletop when using the heating plate?
To prevent damage to tabletops, the reverse side of heating mat has raised pads for better heat dissipation. However, we still don't recommend prolonged use on surfaces like plywood, glass, plastic,or other materials not resistant to high temperatures.
How should the heating plate be stored, and is there a specific direction for rolling it up?
The iTRUSOU heating plate is made of flexible silicone material, allowing you to roll and bend it freely without affecting its performance. However, for convenient storage in the carrying bag, we recommend rolling up mat as shown in main image.
Is it possible to change the duration of the scheduled shutdown or cancel the automatic shutdown?
By default, it switches off automatically after 3 hours to protect desktops such as solid wood or marble from damage caused by permanently high temperatures.
Why does using an infrared thermometer to measure the mat's surface not reach the advertised 100°C (212°F)?
Max temp is 95±5°C, set with negative tolerance to protect tabletops like solid wood or marble from damage due to prolonged high temps. Varied emissivity settings on infrared thermometers cause errors. For accuracy, use a thermocouple thermometer.
